God’s Word, Fellowship, and Prayer

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Acts 2:42

At Blazing Grace Church, we will focus on God’s word, fellowship with each other, and prayer. There will be no worship band. We’ll strive to filter everything we do through God’s word, and powered by prayer.

I believe prayer is the key; the early church focused on the God’s word, fellowship, and prayer, and they changed the world. Prayer is a constant throughout the book of Acts (and the whole Bible); the early church was born and sustained on prayer. Lives were changed because of it.

Having led retreats and conferences, and spoken at Sunday morning services, I can tell you that it’s the times we’ve prayed together where we were bonded to each other in the most powerful way. At times the Spirit of God descended on the room, and we were blessed to enjoy His presence.

We will also break up into small groups (usually, around 2), share our needs, and pray for each other. We’ll set the stage for this by looking at what it means to be a safe church where people can come and open up without the fear of rejection, being judged, or getting preached at (an emphasis on listening is key).

If being a part of a church like this appeals to you, we’d love to have you. Our Sunday morning service is at 10:00am; we meet at 2338-2340 Vickers Ave, near Academy Blvd. We will also be livestreaming the services in High Definition, so you can watch the services online.
