A Message from Mike Genung
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
– James 1:22
God’s word shows that church meetings should be about more than sermons and song. Jesus referred to His church as a “house of prayer.” Prayer is the most powerful spiritual weapon we’re given, thus we spend time in prayer during our weekly meetings.
“He who separates (isolates) himself seeks his own desire, He quarrels against all sound wisdom” (Proverbs 18:1).
Most American Christians are isolated; churches that focus solely on teaching without doing what the Bible says often leave their flocks in isolation. We take action steps during our weekly services to break down the walls of isolation and create connections with other believers.
Jesus addressed the specific sins and struggles that His people were going through in chapters two and three of Revelations, and elsewhere in the Bible. God’s word doesn’t shy away from talking about difficult topics such as sex, hell, pride, or spiritual warfare, among others, and neither will we. We’ll dive into the hard topics all of us face today and look at the Biblical answers that will equip you to be an overcomer and warrior.
“He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
“Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
1 Timothy 6:12
Most importantly, we’ll walk with you in discovering the joy of an intimate relationship with God that goes beyond head knowledge.
“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
1 Timothy 1:5
